High-Speed Chase Ends in Multi-Charge Arrest in Kent
Just before 10am on Monday 2 January 2023, a driver in Worth ignored police orders to stop on Jubilee Road. A high-octane pursuit ensued, backed by a police helicopter, ending with the arrest of 22-year-old Robbie Murray.
Robbie Murray Faces a Mountain of Charges
After investigations by east Kent’s Vulnerability Investigation Team, Murray, who has no fixed address, now faces a slew of serious charges, including:
- Four counts of assault and one count of attempted grievous bodily harm involving a man and woman known to him in December 2022.
- Intentional strangulation and stalking of a woman in the Canterbury area, also in December 2022.
- Three counts of criminal damage in Canterbury during December 2022.
- Handling stolen goods – linked to a motorbike stolen on 6 December and a car stolen between 29 December and 2 January.
- Dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, failing to stop, and refusing breath and blood samples on 2 January.
- Possession of cannabis.

Murray is set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 3 January. With this long list of charges, the young man faces a tough legal battle ahead.
