Authorities Confirm Incident Is Isolated
We are satisfied that there is no evidence of an increased risk to the public, within our communities, or within the UK hospital estate as a result of this investigation,” said Detective Chief Superintendent James Dunkerley, head of Counter Terrorism Policing North East. “Public vigilance is critical in assisting Counter Terrorism Policing and its partners in protecting our communities from harm.”
He added the incident was “an isolated incident” thoroughly examined by authorities. Despite this reassurance, the UK’s terror threat level remains at “substantial,” reminding everyone not to let their guard down.
Thanks to Public and Hospital Staff for Cooperation
Authorities expressed gratitude to the public for their support during the probe. Special thanks went to the patients and staff at St James’s Hospital for their patience and cooperation during the disruption caused by the incident.
