Man in his 40s Found Dead in Croydon – Murder Arrest Made

Early Sunday morning, police were called to Station Road, Croydon, after a man was found unresponsive at 5.34am. Despite efforts by the London Ambulance Service, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation Underway

Officers are currently contacting the deceased’s family, with formal identification still awaited. The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched a murder investigation.

Suspect in Custody

On Monday, August 8, Agash Jeyanandam, 23, from Stonecroft Way, Croydon, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was formally charged the following day.

Next Court Appearance

Jeyanandam is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 10. The investigation continues as police piece together the events leading to this tragic death.
