20-Year-Old Man Busted for Park Attacks

A 20-year-old man has been charged with two robberies and an attempted robbery following a spree at Gloucester Park, Basildon, on 16 August. He allegedly assaulted one victim and robbed two others during the brazen attack.

More Charges Added

Officials say the man, from South Ockendon, also faces charges for attempting to rob a fourth man and being in possession of cannabis. He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on 19 August and was remanded in custody ahead of a Chelmsford Crown Court hearing on 16 September.

Teen Suspects Also Arrested

Two teenage boys—aged 14 and 17, from Laindon and Basildon respectively—were also arrested on suspicion of assault and robbery linked to the incident. Both have been released on bail until 11 September as investigations continue.
