Night Out Turns Deadly After Rolex Snatch Attempt
Danny Pearce, a father with a young daughter, was walking with his girlfriend and friends after leaving a jazz club on Nevada Street. As they headed to their car shortly after midnight, two men demanded Danny’s silver Rolex Datejust 2 2017, worth around £5,000.
When Danny refused, he was chased down, trapped, and repeatedly stabbed while his loved ones watched in horror. He died at the scene despite emergency crews’ efforts. A post-mortem confirmed multiple stab wounds as the cause of death, with police also finding evidence of gunshots fired as Danny tried to escape.
Police Plea and Ongoing Investigation
“This was a truly horrific attack that took place after Danny had enjoyed a night out,” said Detective Inspector Jo Sidaway. “The level of violence was shocking. Today’s conviction reflects three years of hard work by my team. Our thoughts remain with Danny’s family as they face a Christmas without him.”
Detectives are still searching for Danny’s missing Rolex and urge anyone offered the watch to come forward. Contact police on 101, the incident room on 020 8721 4005, Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111, or tweet @MetCC.
