Essex Man Banned for Stalking Colleague, Dumped with 200 Hours Unpaid Work
Alan Woods, 51, from Lake Mead, Essex, has been slapped with a five-year restraining order and 200 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to stalking a female colleague in Romford.
Harassment Spanned Nearly Two Years
Between July 2018 and April 2020, Woods tormented his co-worker. The victim reported the abuse to police in northeast london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London in October 2019, initially unaware who was behind the harassment.
Fake Affair and False Accusations
- Woods created a fake account in the victim’s name.
- He sent misleading messages to a colleague’s wife, claiming an affair.
- He called police falsely accusing the victim of driving under the influence—she was cleared after testing.
Relentless Abuse and Car Tampering
In April this year, Woods bombarded the victim with unwanted calls and abusive messages. He went as far as tampering with her car.
Police linked all the harassment back to a single phone number traced to Maldon, Essex — Woods’ home turf.
