Massive Drug Haul Nets Suspended Jail for Southampton Dealer
Liam Rice, 22, from Bourne Lane, Woodlands, was cuffed after cops swooped on a property last July. Police acted following intel on drug dealings at the address.
£32,500 Worth of Class B Drugs Seized
Officers discovered a stash of Class B drugs worth an eye-watering £32,500, plus drug paraphernalia during the raid. Rice was arrested and later convicted at Southampton Magistrates Court for cannabis supply.
Six-Month Jail Term Suspended, Plus Tough Penalties
Rice was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. On top, he must complete 240 hours of unpaid work and 20 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement (RAR) days. He also faces £85 in court costs and a £128 victim surcharge.
Police Warn: Drug Dealers Won’t Get Off Easy
PC Carl Peverill of New Forest Heart Neighbourhood Policing Team blasted the dealers: “We hope this sends a strong message that drug-dealing won’t be tolerated in the New Forest.”
