£17,000 Cash and £20k of Cocaine Seized in Police Raid
On 16 September 2020, police swooped on an Albert Street home and uncovered a stash of around £17,000 in cash. They also found cocaine worth an estimated £20,000 on the streets.
Dealer Antonio Panayi Arrested and Charged
Officers arrested 28-year-old Antonio Panayi from Albert Street. He was charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply. The bust didn’t stop there – cops also found cannabis and amphetamines, leading to two more charges of possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply.
Panayi Jailed for Four and a Half Years
Panayi appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court on Thursday 4 March 2021. After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 4½ years behind bars. The crackdown sends a clear message to local dealers trying to flood the streets with dangerous drugs.
