Drug Dealers Busted After Uninsured Car Stop in Gravesend
Police on patrol in Gravesend made a major drug bust after stopping an uninsured car on Lennox Road on 3 March 2021. The driver, Mateusz Kron, immediately drew suspicion of involvement in drug supply. A search of his vehicle uncovered a bag of cannabis, leading to his arrest.
Massive Steroid and Drug Haul at Gravesend Home
Officers then raided a house on Vigilant Way, Kron’s given address. There, they caught Pawel Wierzbicki attempting to flee the scene. A thorough search revealed around 5,000 glass vials of steroids, boxes of cocaine, and a staggering £16,000 in cash.
- Follow-up raids at two more Gravesend properties uncovered even more steroids, cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, and amphetamines.
- The total street value of steroids alone was estimated at a whopping £130,972.
- Other drugs seized were worth approximately £61,705.
Criminal Charges and Jail Sentences
Kron and Wierzbicki, both from Vigilant Way, faced a slew of charges including possession with intent to supply cocaine, cannabis, MDMA, amphetamines, and steroids. Kron also got nailed for driving without insurance.
They both pleaded guilty. On 17 January 2022, Woolwich Crown Court sentenced Kron to four years behind bars, with 42-year-old Wierzbicki locked up for two years and six months.
Police Praise Proactive Policing
“This pair of drug dealers were undoubtedly making a considerable profit from their criminal activities,” said PC Scott Spedding.
“They supplied a dangerous mix of drugs that will have devastated vulnerable users and their families. Thanks to a routine stop on an uninsured car and diligent police work, we secured these convictions.
We will be pursuing confiscation of the seized cash under the Proceeds of Crime Act.”
