Pensioner Fighting for Life After Shocking Winchester Crash
Police are urgently hunting witnesses following a serious smash in Winchester that has left a 79-year-old woman battling for her life.
Crash Near Bell Inn
The collision took place just before 3pm on Saturday, 12 August, on St Cross Road between the Bell Inn pub and Mead Road junction. A young driver in a Vauxhall Corsa, heading towards Winchester town centre, hit the elderly pedestrian.
Elderly Woman Critical, Driver Unharmed
- The 79-year-old local woman suffered a major head injury.
- She is currently receiving intensive treatment at southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital.
- The Corsa’s 20-year-old driver from Winchester escaped without injuries.
