Mansfield Man Nabbed with Blades After Disturbance
Police swooped on a Mansfield home on 18 October after reports of a disturbance. Officers arrested 45-year-old Jason Smith on Lindley Street, charging him with criminal damage.
Bladed Weapon Found During Custody Search
While in custody, Smith was searched and found carrying a bladed article and an offensive weapon. He was immediately hit with additional charges.
Quick Justice at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court
The 45-year-old, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty on 20 October to possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, and criminal damage. Smith was sentenced to 146 days behind bars.
