Bedfordshire Man Banged Up for Drug Haul Worth Tens of Thousands
Artenis Selita, 25, from Cottril Way, Bedford, was slammed with a sentence of three years and four months at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday, May 21.
Selita had already pleaded guilty to possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property — in this case, stacks of cash.
Scorpion Team’s Big Bust
The crackdown came after cops from the Operational Scorpion team targeted Selita on January 25. They found him sat behind the wheel of a car on Sherrington Road, near a footpath.
During a search, officers uncovered a massive stash of cocaine with a street value running into tens of thousands of pounds. They also seized around £40,000 in cash.
Selita was arrested on the spot and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being formally charged.
