Officers on patrol spotted a Mazda racing down Widdicombe Way on Friday (11 September). The car smashed into a wall, but the driver and passengers made a quick getaway.
Jack Winstanley Slapped with Multiple Charges
Jack Winstanley, 18, from Widdicombe Way, Brighton, was arrested and hit with a string of charges. He faces theft of a vehicle number plate, driving without a licence or insurance, breaching bail conditions, and skipping a court date for a burglary sentence.
Court Appearance and Custody
Winstanley appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (14 September). He was remanded in custody and is due back at Crown Court on 12 October.
