Officers on patrol spotted a Mazda tearing down Widdicombe Way at speed last Friday (11 September). The driver smashed into a wall and then fled the scene.

The culprit, 18-year-old Jack Winstanley from Widdicombe Way, Brighton, faces multiple charges. He’s accused of stealing a vehicle number plate, driving without a licence or insurance, breaching bail, and skipping a court date for a burglary sentence.
Reckless Teen Remanded Ahead of Crown Court
Winstanley appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (14 September). He’s been remanded in custody and is due back at crown court on 12 October.
