Gun Supplier and Girlfriend Jailed in Liverpool Firearms Crackdown
Vincent Horsfall, 30, from Hyde Road, Waterloo, has pleaded guilty to supplying a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition. His girlfriend, Fiona Crooks, 29, of Wheatfield Close, Netherley, admitted assisting an offender and was sentenced to two years in prison. Both were sentenced yesterday at Liverpool Crown Court.
Loaded Colt Revolver and Ammo Seized in Raids
Police recovered a .41 Colt revolver traced back to Horsfall during their investigation. A warrant at a Netherley home found the loaded Colt revolver plus six rounds of ammo. Another raid at a Southport address uncovered casings, bullet heads, and firearms paraphernalia.
Detective Slams Horsfall’s Recklessness and Crooks’ Misguided Loyalty
“It is pleasing to see Horsfall dealt with at court after a complex investigation,” said Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan.
“The supply and storage of firearms arm serious criminals to intimidate, injure, and kill. We’ve seen the devastation guns cause in communities. This case removes deadly weapons and a man willing to supply them purely for profit.”
“Crooks’ conviction for assisting him sends a strong message against aiding such crimes, even out of misguided loyalty. She is a woman of previously good character with a child, and her prison sentence highlights the serious nature of these offences.”
“Investigations take time, but if you provide information about firearms being stored or used, police will act. Taking guns, ammo, or offenders off the streets saves lives and shows that gun crime won’t be tolerated.”
