Four Arrested Over Brutal Crawley Assault

Sussex Police have arrested four suspects after a vicious attack in Crawley left a man severely injured.

Man, 40s, Badly Beaten on Broadway

The victim, a man in his 40s, was walking along Broadway in Crawley at around 9.30pm on Sunday, 20 September. He was suddenly confronted by a group of young adults who punched and kicked him, causing serious injuries. The man was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

Four Crawley Youths in Custody

  • An 18-year-old Crawley man arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent, released on police bail until 23 October.
  • Another 18-year-old from Crawley arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent and cannabis possession, on bail until 22 October.
  • A 17-year-old boy from Crawley arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent, released on bail until 24 October.
  • A 19-year-old Crawley man arrested for wounding with intent, on bail until 22 October.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Sussex Police urge anyone who witnessed the attack or has information to help with the investigation to come forward. Contact them online or call 101 quoting Operation Burgate.
