Drug Dealer Nabbed with £23,000 Cash Stash After Poor Driving Sparks Police Stop
Bad Driving Leads to Big Bust
Samuel Bradshaw, 25, from Frankel Avenue, Redhouse, was pulled over in August 2020 for reckless driving in his BMW. But police quickly uncovered more than just poor motoring skills.
A search of Bradshaw’s car revealed a rucksack packed with stacks of cash and cannabis, neatly packaged in small bags ready for sale.
£23,000 Cash Found at Home
Officers then raided Bradshaw’s home, digging up around £23,000 in cash. The evidence was clear.
Last week, Bradshaw appeared at Swindon Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of Class B drugs, possession of criminal property, and transferring criminal property.
He was handed a nine-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.
Police Warn Against Underestimating Cannabis Crime
PC Sean Williams from the South Central Neighbourhoods team said: “We know that some people may see the sale and supply of Class B drugs, particularly cannabis, as less serious. But cannabis is illegal, and drug dealing causes massive harm to our communities.”
“This criminal activity often links to exploitation, anti-social behaviour, and even violence. We’re committed to tackling this and bringing offenders to justice.”
