Two Teens Stabbed in East London Amid Frenzy of Violence

Last night, East London was rocked by a knife attack that left two teenagers injured. At 9:17pm on July 8, police were scrambled to Ilford Lane, Redbridge, after reports of a stabbing. Officers and paramedics found two boys in their mid-teens with stab wounds to their arms.

The teens were rushed to hospital, but thankfully their injuries were not life-threatening. No arrests have been made yet, and detectives are hunting for suspects.

Woman Stabbed Hours Earlier in Separate Ilford Attack

Just over an hour before, at 8:05pm, emergency crews found a woman in her late twenties stabbed repeatedly in the back on St Johns Road. She was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the attacker was a man on a bicycle who fled towards Buxton Road, Ilford. So far, he remains unidentified.

Police Warn of Rising Knife Crime After Zara Aleena Murder

“This latest attack, so soon after the tragic murder of Zara Aleena, will be a major worry for local residents,” said Chief Inspector Chris Byrne.

“We share those concerns and are throwing every resource into keeping people safe. We’re determined to catch the cyclist responsible and are scouring CCTV for leads.”

Inspector Byrne confirmed extra officers, including violent crime specialists, have been deployed to Ilford since Zara Aleena’s murder just weeks ago. The force vows to stay visible, especially over weekends, to protect the community.
