Despite efforts by paramedics, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. British Transport Police confirmed no suspicious circumstances and that a file is being sent to the coroner.

The tragedy sparked major disruption on the busy Watford Junction to Milton Keynes Central line. This vital Euston artery saw trains cancelled and delays topping an hour, leaving frustrated passengers stranded deep into the evening.
National Rail warned travellers on social media:
“All lines closed while emergency services carry out their work. Expect severe delays and cancellations. Major disruption expected until the end of the day.”
