Police Release Footage, Urge Public to Step Up
Officers have shared video of the boy riding his moped on the night he was attacked, hoping to jog memories. They are asking anyone near Peckham Rye—especially Rye Lane—between 6pm and 7.30pm to come forward. Doorbell and dashcam footage could be vital.
Detective Inspector’s Plea: “Every Detail Counts”
“Peckham Rye is a busy spot with loads of residents, pedestrians, and drivers. That means crucial witnesses could be out there,” said Detective Inspector Christina Clayton from the Met’s Specialist Crime Unit.
“If you were near Rye Lane between 6pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, or have any footage from that time, please come forward. Even the smallest detail could crack this case.”
