Massive Fire Destroys Roof of Terraced House

In the early hours of 19 April, six fire engines and around 40 firefighters stormed Greenwood Close, Morden, after a terrifying house fire tore through a two-story terraced property. The flames gutted the entire roof of the house — which had a loft under construction — and also damaged part of the first floor.

Rapid Response from Local Fire Crews

The emergency call came in at 2:58am. Firefighters from Wimbledon, New Malden, Mitcham, Sutton, Tooting, and Kingston rushed to the scene. They battled the blaze fiercely and managed to bring it under control by 4:42am.

Thankfully, No Injuries Reported

Despite the intense fire, no one was hurt during the incident. Authorities are now probing the cause of the fire.
