Thomas Patton Caught at Newcastle Airport After Dodging Police
Thomas Patton from Pallister Park knew the coppers wanted a word but gave them the slip—until October 16 last year, when he was finally nabbed arriving at Newcastle Airport.
Charged with Multiple Assaults and Coercion
After being hauled in for questioning, Patton faced serious charges: three counts of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH), two common assaults, intimidation, and engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour.
Denied Charges but Found Guilty at Trial
In a November court hearing, Patton denied all allegations but remained behind bars ahead of his two-day trial in late March.
The jury found him guilty on all seven counts.
Jailed for Three and a Half Years, Faces Restriction
This week, Patton was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and slapped with a five-year restraining order.
