Guilty Verdict at Newcastle Crown Court

A jury found Hunter guilty of rape of a child and sexual assault. On Monday, September 27, he was sentenced to 11 years behind bars.

More Disturbing Offences Revealed

Hunter, from Burleigh Street, South Shields, also admitted to possessing 46 indecent images of children. These photos were recovered from his phone despite being deleted, thanks to police monitoring after a previous offence.

Detective Constable Kit Tipling said: “We hope this sentence gives the victim some closure. We urge anyone suffering abuse to come forward.”
