Routine Search Uncovers Hidden Haul

Bongo Williams, 46, a chef at Bisley prison from Kensal Green Road, Maidenhead, was stopped in a routine security check on 4 June last year. A search of his large blue holdall led to a shocking discovery: three bags of white powder concealed inside his beanie hat.

Drugs Worth Thousands Behind Bars

The substance was identified as synthetic cannabinoids. While the street value was around £650, inside prison the haul was worth between £2,500 and £6,500. Police immediately arrested Williams after being informed.

Clean Sweep: Cash and Conviction

Further searches at Williams’ home revealed £2,000 in cash. Aside from his prison sentence, Williams was hit with a £2,000 cash forfeiture order under Section 27 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
