Reality TV Star Stephen Bear Found Guilty Over Revenge Porn Video
Stephen Bear, 32, the notorious winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2016, has been found guilty of sharing a private sex tape featuring reality star Georgia Harrison. The CCTV footage, filmed secretly in Bear’s Essex garden, surfaced on OnlyFans, sparking outrage.
Bear Denies Charges But Faces Unanimous Verdict
Bear, from Loughton, Essex, denied voyeurism and two counts of sharing private sexual images with intent to cause distress. But the jury disagreed, delivering unanimous guilty verdicts on the two disclosing private sexual material counts, and a 10-2 majority verdict on voyeurism.
Victim Speaks Out Against ‘Hellish’ Ordeal
Georgia Harrison, 27, known from The Only Way Is Essex, Love Island, and Olivia Meets Her Match, revealed she had no idea the CCTV was recording. Prosecutor Jacqueline Carey KC said Harrison made it clear to Bear she never wanted the footage shared, warning him not to send it to anyone.
“Bear’s behaviour was completely unacceptable,” said Harrison. “I hope my standing up gives other victims the courage to seek justice and shows them they have nothing to be ashamed of. It’s been absolutely hell.”
“I’ve felt ashamed, hurt, violated, and even broken. But today I feel empowered and grateful for everyone who has supported me.”
Bear’s OnlyFans Money-Making Scheme Exposed
The court heard Bear either uploaded the video himself or had it posted on OnlyFans, cashing in on the footage. Despite his claims to have deleted the video in August 2020 and not sharing it further, messages revealed he sent it to others via WhatsApp.
Next Steps for Bear
Stephen Bear is currently out on bail and will return to court for sentencing on January 31 once a report is ready. The case sends a clear warning that revenge porn won’t be tolerated.
