Pervert Kamir Khan bombarded girl with 4,000 messages and touched her twice

Despicable Pursuit over Snapchat and WhatsApp

Kamir Khan, 31, harassed a young girl relentlessly, sending over 4,000 messages in just three months. He even confessed love and spoke of marriage to his victim. Khan’s depravity didn’t stop there — he inappropriately touched the girl twice in early 2019.

Using Snapchat and WhatsApp, Khan bombarded the girl with lewd photos and pressured her to send naked pictures. Thankfully, she refused to comply.

Distress Uncovered by Mum Sparks Police Investigation

The victim’s mum uncovered the sick messages when she found texts from someone called ‘Zayn’ on her daughter’s phone. The girl, visibly upset, bravely revealed Khan’s abuse, prompting a police probe.

Detective Rachel Scott said: “Khan preyed on his victim over months, exploiting her vulnerability and age. He manipulated her into thinking he was her boyfriend and normalised sending explicit messages.”

She added: “The girl has been incredibly strong during this investigation. We gathered solid evidence which forced Khan’s guilty plea. He is a danger to children and it’s right he’s behind bars.”

Hard-Hitting Warning to Parents and Young People

Detective Scott urged young people to stay safe online and avoid sharing personal or intimate details. She warned parents to stay alert about who their children are chatting to on social media.

Justice Served at Sheffield Crown Court

Khan admitted multiple offences including assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, inciting sexual activity, and engaging in sexual communication with a child. He was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on 25 November and will be on the Sex Offender Register.
