Club-Wielding Attack After Pub Row

The shocking attack unfolded in the early hours of January 8, 2020. Richardson got into a heated argument with a man in his 60s inside the pub. Instead of cooling off, he went home, grabbed a club, and returned to bash the victim.

Victim Left Seriously Injured

The victim suffered a deep head wound, plus a fractured nose and cheekbone. Police arrested Richardson after he followed the victim from the pub, ending his violent spree.

Police Staff Investigator Ian Stockwell said: “This was a nasty and violent incident which left the victim both injured and shaken. We hope he can take some comfort from this sentence which shows we will not tolerate violent crimes of this nature.”
