Man Stabbed in Sudden Knife Attack at Home
On April 4, 2022, James Jackson viciously stabbed a visitor inside his Greatness Mill Court home, Sevenoaks.
The victim, a man in his 20s, thought punches were flying until he realised he’d been knifed multiple times. Terrified, he fled the house bleeding from five stab wounds to his chest, shoulder, and arms. Good Samaritans helped him before paramedics took over, rushing him to hospital for emergency treatment.
Jackson Caught and Sentenced
Jackson, 25, was quickly arrested and charged. At Maidstone Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to wounding. On Wednesday, November 9, he was slapped with a three-year prison sentence.
The sentence also covered robbery and criminal damage offences from June 2, 2021. Jackson attacked a taxi driver in Tunbridge Wells, stole cash, and trashed the vehicle.
Police Condemn Brutal Assault
“Jackson is clearly a very violent man capable of causing sudden and extreme harm without thought for the effect on his victims,” said Detective Constable Tony Hatcher of West Kent CID.
“The unprovoked knife attack could have been fatal. It’s clear he must be locked up to keep the public safe.”
Jackson’s terrifying outburst highlights how quickly violence can erupt behind closed doors – and the vital role of swift police action in bringing offenders to justice.
