South London Drug Dealer Slapped with Four Years for Peddling Crack and Heroin
Jerome Simpson, 27, a no fixed abode drug dealer from South London, has been sentenced to four years in jail. He admitted to supplying crack cocaine and heroin, landing him a hefty prison term at Inner London Crown Court on Friday, 21 February.
How Police Cracked the Case
The hunt began in August 2019 when officers seized a mobile phone linked to drug dealing during a stop-and-search. Police quickly zeroed in on Simpson as the man behind the illicit trade.
Investigators found bulk messages sent from the phone acting as coded adverts for class A drugs, followed by suspicious inactivity—classic dealer behaviour.
Climbed Rooftops to Escape but Caught Red-Handed
On 7 November, cops raided an address in Coldharbour Lane, SE5, to arrest Simpson. He tried to dodge arrest by scrambling onto the roof but was nabbed by officers.
During a search, Simpson was caught with class A drugs worth thousands of pounds. Another linked property revealed £2,000 in cash.
Silent Defendant Faces the Music
Despite the mountain of evidence, Simpson refused to answer questions about his drug dealings during interviews. He was charged and later pled guilty in court.
Justice served for South London, as Simpson now faces four years behind bars for flooding the streets with deadly drugs.
