Drugs and Driving Arrest After Early Morning Police Stop
Officers pulled over a vehicle at around 2.45am on Friday, 6 January 2023, suspecting erratic driving. Their stop paid off when they arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of drug-driving.
Suspect Fails to Provide Drug Test
Lukasz Piotr Feliks, from Carlton Hill, Carlton, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court the very next day. He faces charges for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Police Crack Down on Dangerous Drivers
“This is exactly why we carry out proactive patrols and stop vehicles which are being driven erratically or if intelligence links them to potential criminality,” said Inspector Rob Lawton, Rushcliffe neighbourhood policing inspector.
“It was an excellent piece of work by the officers on patrol to pull over this suspect.
“Drink and drug-driving are extremely serious offences and we work hard all year round to educate people on the dangers of getting behind the wheel while under the influence as well as catch those who ignore the law.
“Our message remains a simple one – drink and drug-drivers will not be tolerated on Nottinghamshire’s roads.”
Police continue to ramp up patrols targeting impaired driving to keep the streets safe.
