Hunt Intensifies as 13th Arrest Made in Shocking Abduction of Three Brothers
Another Arrest in Ilford Adds to Growing Investigation
Detectives have made a 13th arrest in the gripping case of three kidnapped brothers. The latest suspect, a 31-year-old man, was hauled in at a residential address in Ilford on Saturday, 29 August. He’s held on suspicion of conspiracy to abduct a child and remains in custody at a south London police station.
Search for Imran Safi and His Sons Continues
The Met Police are still urgently hunting for Imran Safi and his three sons – Bilal, Mohammed Ebrar, and Mohammed Yaseen Safi. Despite multiple arrests, the trio’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Previous Arrests and Ongoing Appeals
- Four men aged between 21 and 41, arrested on 28 August in Ilford, were released on bail but must return to police in early September.
- All four are believed to be known to Imran Safi and were detained on suspicion of involvement in the abduction.
- Police have received around 40 calls from the public since the first appeal on 27 August, with officers working round the clock to trace the family.
Public’s Help Still Crucial
Chief Superintendent Dave Stringer said: “Whilst this is a fast-paced and developing investigation, we still need more information from the public to help us locate the children and their father.”
He urged anyone near croydon/" title="Croydon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Croydon and Ilford to reflect carefully if they saw the Safi family on the evening of Thursday, 20 August or the following morning.
Key Clues and Contact Details
Police are especially keen to hear about sightings of a red Nissan Qashqai, registration PK13 WFO, spotted in the Croydon area, notably Coulsdon Road on 20 August. The vehicle itself has now been found.
