Man Charged With Brutal Assault in Folkestone

Kent Police were called to Folkestone Road at 7.30pm on Monday, June 1, 2020, after a man was reportedly assaulted.

James Stott Faces Serious Charges

James Stott, 31, from Clarendon Street, Dover, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He’s also charged with assaulting the same victim back on March 26, 2020.

Ongoing Threats Add to Charges

Stott faces additional charges for behaviour that caused the victim to fear violence between March 26 and June 1.

Stott Remanded Ahead of Crown Court Hearing

The accused appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 16. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, July 20.
