Man Caught Spitting Then Tried to Headbutt Cops in Sittingbourne
Kent Police swooped on a man after reports he spat at two people at Sittingbourne Train Station last Tuesday evening.
Chase Ends with Headbutt Attempt
The suspect, Joe Tubb, 21, took off running when officers tried to arrest him on Sittingbourne High Street. But he was quickly caught and then allegedly tried to headbutt one of the arresting cops.
Hidden Heroin and Cash Found
A search revealed 12 wraps of suspected heroin tucked in his clothes. Officers also seized two mobile phones and a stash of cash from Tubb, who has no fixed address.
Charged and Bailed to Crown Court
Tubb faces serious charges including assaulting an emergency worker, possession with intent to supply heroin, and acquiring criminal property.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court two days later and was remanded in custody, set to return to Maidstone Crown Court soon.
