Machete Menace Shocks Kent Train Stations
Fear gripped Sheerness and Sittingbourne stations on Monday night as a man allegedly threatened two victims with a machete. The horrifying spree kicked off at around 8.45pm on October 31st at Sheerness train station, where the first victim was targeted on the platform.
Second Machete Threat Sparks Panic
Later that evening, the same suspect reportedly menaced another victim at Sittingbourne station, still wielding the machete. Terrifyingly, the threats didn’t stop there – the victim was harassed further as they fled the station and ran into Mill Way.
Swift Arrest and Charges
Thankfully, neither victim was hurt. Within hours, police arrested Joe Tubb, 21, from Gillingham Road, Gillingham, near Kemsley. He now faces two counts of affray and two counts of possessing a bladed article.
Tubb appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded ahead of a Maidstone Crown Court hearing, which is yet to be scheduled.
