Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Sneinton Stabbing
Nottingham police sprang into action after multiple reports of a serious assault in Sneinton Dale just before 5pm on Wednesday, 13 July.
The victim suffered stab wounds and was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
Suspect Hits Court Amid Serious Charges
Miran Amir, 23, of no fixed address, was charged with attempted murder, actual bodily harm, and carrying a knife in public. He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 18 July.
“A team of detectives has been working tirelessly on this case and these charges are a significant step in our ongoing investigation,” said Detective Constable Aiden Cook of Nottinghamshire Police.
Police Urge Public for Help
DC Cook added: “We acted swiftly in response to this violent assault, resulting in the arrest and charging of a suspect. The police take all weapon-enabled violence extremely seriously and are committed to keeping the community safe.”
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with CCTV, dash-cam footage, or information about the incident is urged to come forward.
