Drugs Suspect Busted with Nearly £4k Cash in Rock Avenue Sting
Police on patrol in the town centre spotted a man they believed was linked to drug supply on Tuesday 21 November 2023. The 21-year-old was stopped inside a shop on Rock Avenue and searched.
Cops Seize Phone and £3,924 Cash, Man Arrested
Officers recovered a mobile phone and a hefty £3,924 in cash before arresting the suspect. But the drama didn’t end there. Back at the station, two officers were reportedly assaulted, and property in the custody area was damaged.
No Fixed Address Suspect Faces Multiple Charges
Kavell Gottshalk, currently with no fixed address, is now charged with:
- Being concerned in the supply of cocaine
- Possession of criminal property (the seized cash)
- Two counts of assaulting emergency workers
- Acting in a violent manner in custody
- Criminal damage
Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team are leading the investigation. Gottshalk was remanded in custody and is due at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 November.
