Teen Held Over Shocking Xmas Eve Stabbing Murder
A 16-year-old boy is set to appear in custody today (Thursday, 28 December) at Croydon Magistrates’ Court. He faces charges over the stabbing death of a 22-year-old woman in SE16.
Woman Fatally Stabbed on Jamaica Road
Police raced to Spenlow House, Jamaica Road, at 10:03pm on Christmas Eve after reports of a woman stabbed at a residential property. Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance crews.
Despite emergency first aid, the young woman died at the scene. She has now been named as Kacey Clarke. Her family, who are deeply grieving, are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy at this heartbreaking time.
Investigation Underway: Boy Arrested Near Scene
Police launched urgent enquiries and quickly arrested a 16-year-old boy, known to Kacey, close by on suspicion of murder. A post-mortem confirmed she died from a single sharp force trauma to the chest.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the probe. Detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
