On 21 February 2022, after a day of verbal abuse left the victim fearing fresh assault, she dialled 999. When officers arrived at her house, Knowles bolted to the back garden but was caught after a tussle trying to escape.

Detectives uncovered relentless abuse, including chilling threats to kill. The victim had bravely kept photos documenting her injuries. Knowles, homeless and ruthless, faced charges of coercive and controlling behaviour and obstructing officers.
Judge Slams Knowles as Violent Bully—Jail for Nearly Three Years
The 28-year-old pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court and was locked up for two years and nine months on 15 July 2022. This prison term included five months for violating a suspended sentence.
“Knowles is a violent bully who terrorised his victim for more than a year,” said Detective Inspector Gemma Pawley of the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team. “She acted bravely by contacting police. It is right he now serves time for his crimes.”
