Knife attacker jailed for 10 years after stabbing man in Folkestone
A violent thug who stabbed a man during a late-night brawl in Folkestone has been locked up for a decade.
Shouting match turns deadly on Sandgate Road
In the early hours of August 21, 2021, Loui Allman, 33, was walking along Sandgate Road towards Folkestone town centre when he started shouting and verbally abusing a group of men. When one man challenged him, Allman suddenly pulled out a knife and plunged it twice into the victim’s side.
Victim airlifted to London hospital with lung injury
The victim, a man in his twenties, was rushed to hospital by air ambulance. Doctors discovered the blade had pierced his lung. Police were quickly called to the scene.
Fugitive caught and sentenced for violent attack
Allman fled but was caught later that day by Kent Police. He later pleaded guilty at Canterbury Crown Court to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, to serve a minimum of six before eligible for parole.
Members of the public should feel free to walk the streets of Kent without being verbally abused and attacked by the likes of Loui Allman,’ said PC Damien Dixon.
‘He had no reason to pick a fight with the victim and his friends, and no reason to carry a knife and use it in such a violent and careless manner.’
‘Allman has proven to be a very dangerous individual, as evidenced by the length of the prison sentence he will now have to serve.’
