Teen Terrorist Busted with Explosives and Nazi Gear in Shocking Plot
Vaughn Dolphin Nabbed in Cheshire Terror Sting
Vaughn Dolphin, 20, from Walsall Wood Road, Aldridge, was arrested on 27 June 2022 after a counter-terrorism probe. Police swooped on a Cheshire address, suspecting him of terrorism offences.
Caught with Explosive Chemicals and Terror Manuals
At Birmingham Crown Court today, Dolphin was found guilty of possessing chemicals to make explosives. He tried to claim the chemicals were for removing a garden tree stump – a flimsy excuse. He also faced six charges linked to possessing and distributing terrorist manuals.
On top of that, he was convicted for recklessly spreading terrorist publications and possession of a firearm.
Obsession with Extremism and Nazi Symbols
Dolphin showed a disturbing fascination with terrorist attacks in New Zealand and the US, downloading attackers’ manifestos. Court footage revealed him wearing homemade body armour emblazoned with Nazi symbols.
He claimed it was for a cosplay convention – but jurors saw through the crude cover story.
Police Warning: Dangerous Mindset Behind the Mask
Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Payne said: “Dolphin combined a toxic extremist mindset with real-world attempts to acquire explosives and weapons.
“He was preparing to harm people who look different or hold different beliefs. Extremists use this ideology to spread fear and division in our communities. Our work to stop dangerous individuals continues.”
Dolphin is set to be sentenced on 11 May.
