Morning Stabbing Shakes Mayfair
Drama erupted in one of London’s poshest spots this morning as a 47-year-old man was stabbed near the iconic Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair.
Police Rush to Scene on Brook’s Mews
The Metropolitan Police were called at 7.55am to Brook’s Mews, W1K, after reports of a stabbing.
London Ambulance Service teams arrived quickly and found the victim with stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital, where his injuries were confirmed as non-life-threatening and not life-changing.
Investigation Underway – No Arrests Yet
Detective Chief Inspector Anne Linton of the Central West Command Unit said:
“Police were called at 7.55am on Thursday, 31 July, following reports of a stabbing on Brook’s Mews.
A 47-year-old man was treated by the London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
An investigation has been launched, and a crime scene remains in place.
There have been no arrests at this stage.
We want to reassure the public that officers are conducting a fast-paced and thorough investigation. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.”
Public Help Sought as Police Seal Off Area
Forensic officers have sealed off the area around Claridge’s, combing the scene for clues.
