Carer Murdered Vulnerable Dementia Patient in Brutal Attack
Magdalena Kissova has been handed a minimum 24-year jail term at Derby Crown Court today for the savage killing of David Allsopp. The 47-year-old was told she must serve at least 24 years before parole can even be considered.
Fatal Beating
David Allsopp, 67, was found dead at his Manchester Street flat on the afternoon of January 15. He suffered multiple injuries from being kicked, punched, and stamped on – wounds that proved fatal.
Betrayal of Trust
Kissova, who posed as Mr Allsopp’s carer, was arrested the day after his death. She initially denied the murder charge in June but finally admitted guilt in August.
“Mr Allsopp’s death has robbed his twin sister of the special bond they shared. No sentence will ease her pain,”
— Her Honour Judge Nirmal Shant QC
Investigation Reveals Chilling Exploitation
Detective Inspector Steve Shaw, leading the probe, revealed how Kissova exploited the dementia sufferer who trusted her.
“She gained his trust, pretended to care, but instead exploited and ultimately murdered him before fleeing to Manchester. This calculated cruelty won’t be forgotten.”
— Detective Inspector Steve Shaw
Police hope the harsh sentence brings some comfort to Mr Allsopp’s grieving family, knowing Kissova can no longer harm another vulnerable person.
