Kidderminster Woman Sentenced for Cocaine Conspiracy as Partner and Associates Jailed

Sinead Lavelle Gets Prison After Cocaine Supply Conviction

Sinead Lavelle, 34, from Offmore Road, Kidderminster, was found guilty of conspiracy to supply cocaine last December following a four-week trial. On Friday (10 June), Hereford Crown Court handed down her sentence.

Four Men Also Locked Up for Drug Crimes

Lavelle’s partner, Gareth Pegler, from Saxon Way, Wychbold, was among four men convicted alongside her. The group includes Mighele Massey of Stourbridge Road, Dudley; Karl Browning of Hurcott Road, Kidderminster; and Darren Pegler from Coronation Way, Kidderminster. Together, they received over 26 years behind bars.

Judge Slams Lavelle’s Role in Drug Operation

His Honour Judge Martin Jackson made it clear Lavelle wasn’t entirely innocent. “You stayed and rekindled a relationship with a partner who is a professional criminal, so there has to be a price to pay,” he told her.

Though Lavelle claimed ignorance, the judge said she was “turning a blind eye,” having previously said about Gareth Pegler: “he does what he does.”

Children Caught in the Crossfire

Lavelle’s involvement included collecting drugs, paying associates, and being present on drug runs—even when her children were around.

“Wives and partners frequently try to hide behind the relationship, claiming ignorance to avoid prosecution, as Sinead Lavelle did in this case,” the judge said.

He added: “She helped with the business and reaped the benefits of both the profits and the lifestyle. As a result, her children now face the harsh reality of both parents serving prison sentences.”

Police Warning to Those Considering Crime

West Mercia Police issued a stark warning: anyone involved in crime—or turning a blind eye to its profits—will be pursued relentlessly. “Before you consider the consequences, ask yourself if it is really worth it,” the judge urged.
