Top Dealer Busted as Op Naseby Smashes Crime Wave
Luke Oliver, 28, was one of 300 crooks nabbed by the #OpNaseby taskforce, which has slashed shootings in the city by more than 70% in two years. The team’s hard-hitting efforts include over 300 car seizures, nearly 130 house raids, and confiscating roughly 50 kilos of drugs.
Golf Stop Uncovers Huge Drug Haul
In April, officers pulled over a black Volkswagen Golf after spotting cash and noticing Oliver’s jittery, drugged-up behaviour. A search found five snap bags of white powder — confirmed as ketamine — and three mobile phones.
Further raids on Oliver’s flat uncovered nearly £2,500 cash and drugs worth about £18,600, including 25 grams of cocaine, 1,287 grams of ketamine, 123 grams of cannabis, plus MDMA, LSD, and diazepam.
Two Years Ten Months for Class A-B-C Drug Boss
Oliver was charged with possession with intent to supply class A, B, and C drugs. Yesterday, he was slammed with a hefty sentence of two years and ten months behind bars.
This latest bust adds to Op Naseby’s track record of locking up organised criminals with nearly 70 years in prison handed down so far. Many others face recalls or strict criminal behaviour orders to keep them in check after release.
Police Push to Keep Streets Safer
Officers vow to keep hammering down on weapons, drugs, and crime assets to drive violence even lower on our streets. Thanks to public tip-offs, police have conducted over 100 stop-and-searches in the past year.
Anyone with info is urged to come forward online. The crackdown continues.
