Pedestrian Killed After Warwickshire Police Car Crash in Nuneaton

Warwickshire Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses after a tragic collision involving a police vehicle in Nuneaton left a man dead.

Fatal Crash on Coventry Road

The fatal incident happened around 8.45pm on Friday, 13 September, on the B4113 Coventry Road between Gipsy Lane junction and Griff Roundabout. A police car responding to an emergency call struck a male pedestrian in his 60s.

The man suffered a severe head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene despite immediate paramedic attempts to save him. His next of kin have been informed.

Police Officers Unharmed as Investigation Begins

The two officers inside the police vehicle escaped without injury. Following standard procedure in such cases, the collision has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which has launched an independent probe into the full circumstances of the crash.
