CS Gas Chaos at Emerson Park School: 25 Pupils Exposed
Emergency services scrambled to Emerson Park School in Hornchurch, Essex, just before 2pm on Wednesday. Reports came in of CS gas being deliberately released inside a classroom, exposing 25 students and several staff to the irritant.
Massive Emergency Response
The Metropolitan Police joined London Ambulance Service, Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART), and the Fire Brigade to tackle the shocking incident. Several pupils were treated on the spot, with some rushed to hospital as a precaution.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed: “We were called at 1.20pm to reports of an incident in Hornchurch. Crews arrived within four minutes. We treated one adult and six teenagers and discharged them at the scene.”
Witnesses Describe Panic and Confusion
Parents waiting to collect their children described a frantic scene as emergency teams worked swiftly. The full extent of injuries remains unclear, though no serious harm has been confirmed so far.
“It was alarming to see the emergency services rushing around trying to help those affected,” said one bystander.
