Teen Charged with Attempted Murder After Brighton Stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Brighton in the early hours of June 22. Emergency services rushed to Ship Street around 2am after a man in his 20s suffered serious injuries in the attack. The victim was quickly taken to hospital for treatment.

Suspect Caught Days Later in Worthing

The police named 18-year-old Harvey Dannsah-Appiah from Monkswell Green, Bournemouth, as the suspect. Officers tracked him down and arrested him on July 10 in Worthing. He faces charges of attempted murder and carrying a knife in public.

Dannsah-Appiah has been remanded in custody and will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on July 11.

Police Call for Witnesses to Speak Out

Detective Inspector Neil Phillips said: “Brighton and Hove will not tolerate any form of violence. We are treating this incident with the utmost seriousness.”
