Sussex Police Hunt Man After Early Morning Brighton Beach Attack
Sussex Police have launched a fresh identity appeal following a shocking rape and sexual assault on Brighton beach in the early hours of September 8. The attack took place around 6 a.m. between the city’s two famous piers.
Two Victims Receiving Specialist Support
The victims, who know each other, are currently being supported by trained officers. Police say they are keen to trace a man seen in a photo linked to the investigation.
Two Men Arrested But Released on Bail
On September 27, two 19-year-old men were arrested in London on suspicion of rape, voyeurism, and sexual assault by touching. They were held at Leyton Custody but have since been released on bail under strict conditions.
Chief Inspector Pleads for Public Help
“Since the report, patrols have been beefed up along Brighton seafront,” said Chief Inspector Simon Marchant. “Our partners are backing these efforts. We urge anyone who recognises the man in the photograph or has information to step forward.”
