Belmarsh Officer Jailed Over £500 ‘Fake Confession’ Bribe
Prison Officer Took Cash to Frame Murder Suspect
A prison officer at high-security Belmarsh has been locked up for over four years after taking £500 to invent a false confession against an inmate. Wiktoria Bujko, 30, from Woolwich, fabricated claims to implicate a man held for the murder of Iron Miah, who was shot dead at his Shadwell doorstep.
Bribery and Deceit Behind Bars
Bujko concocted a story about overhearing a confession between two prisoners. Prosecutors revealed she was bribed by defendant Mohammed Moshaer Ali, who dangled money, gifts, and promises to get her to lie.
The false statement nearly derailed the murder trial of Ali, Antonio Afflick-McLeod, and Aaron Campbell. CCTV proved Bujko’s claims bogus — Campbell wasn’t even at the prison unit at the time she said the conversation happened.
Murderers Finally Sentenced
- Mohammed Moshaer Ali, 31, from Dagenham, received life behind bars with at least 36 years.
- Antonio Afflick-McLeod, 32, of Ilford, got life and 34 minimum, plus extra time for drugs, firearms, and pepper spray charges.
- Aaron Campbell, 32, from Fulham, sentenced to life with a minimum of 31 years.
Bujko Faces Jail for Perverting Justice
After being busted in December 2022, Bujko pleaded guilty alongside Ali to conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. She was swiftly sacked from a probation officer job after just one day on bail.
Her sentence? Four years and eight months inside for selling out her duty and nearly wrecking a high-profile murder case.
