Heavyweight Champ Tyson Fury Mourns Cousin Stabbed to Death
Tyson Fury has paid a raw tribute after his cousin, Rico Burton, was stabbed in the neck and died overnight. The heavyweight king called knife crime a “pandemic” and blasted the cruelty hitting families across Britain.
Tragic Attack in Greater Manchester
Rico Burton, 31, was attacked in Goose Green, Greater Manchester, in the early hours of Sunday. Police confirmed two men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested – one at the scene, the other later – over the fatal stabbing. Both are still in custody.
A 17-year-old was also seriously injured in the attack and rushed to Manchester Royal Infirmary alongside Rico. Despite desperate efforts, Rico later died in hospital.
Fury Slams Knife Crime Epidemic
“This is becoming ridiculous – idiots carry knives,” Fury wrote. “This must cease.”
The boxer urged tougher sentences to tackle the knife crime crisis, saying: “Life is very precious, and it can be taken away very quickly.”
He finished his emotional post with a heartfelt goodbye:
“RIP Rico Burton. May the Lord grant you a good place in heaven, and we’ll see you soon.”
Knife Crime Crisis Hits Home
Fury’s words highlight a brutal reality: knife crime is destroying lives and terrifying communities across the UK. The heavyweight champ’s message is clear – enough is enough.
